Executing Goals for 2024: Will you be apart of the 9%

This week’s newsletter will explore my top 5 areas I would like to improve for 2024. Many people set goals, and I won't delve into deep details of that process. However, the real hurdle lies in execution. Statistics reveal that merely 9% of individuals successfully achieve their goals, while a surprising 23% abandon them within the first week, with 43% throwing in the towel by the end of January. This pattern is very similar to the usual experience of people who are first excited about going to the gym but eventually lose interest.

PROFESSIONAL
Promotion

In 2024, I aim to secure a promotion in my current role as a product manager. To accomplish this, I'm focusing on acquiring the necessary skills, seeking mentorship, and taking on larger projects and showcasing my achievements along with getting regular feedback and adapt to those critics throughout the year

FINANCIAL
Purchase of an Investment Property

Buying an investment property in real estate is my financial investment aim for 2024. I have been a part of a real estate study group for the past year, where I have learned what to look for and am prepared to move this year, depending on interest rates. To mitigate risks as much as possible, I am opening my options to single, duplexes or 4-plexes that either fall into a rental income purchase or long-term appreciation.

FITNESS
Weight Loss: 15 Pounds

For my health goal, I plan to lose 10-15 pounds in 2024. This involves a balanced meal plan, monitored calorie intake, and a fitness routine with accountability measures. To stay motivated, I want to celebrate little victories with cheat meals and prioritize getting enough sleep and managing my stress.

PERSONAL
Work on Effective Communication Skills

My goal for personal growth is to improve communication abilities. I'm evaluating myself, getting feedback, signing up for classes, and making quantifiable objectives. I'm practicing good communication in a variety of settings, taking communication classes and workshops, and setting quantifiable objectives in order to solve these areas. My communication approach will be improved by frequent feedback sessions and networking events, and I'm forming connections with peers in the industry who can provide insightful mentorship and advice.

PERSONAL
Have 20-30 Therapy Sessions

Prioritizing mental health, I aim for 20-30 therapy sessions in 2024. I'm scheduling sessions, collaborating with my therapist on specific goals, and integrating therapy into my routine. Having regular reflection on the insights gained during my therapy sessions and applying these lessons to my daily life will contribute to a positive and transformative experience.
